Got it from BassAtlanta. I never thought of getting a burst finish either, but I saw the Tobacco Bust BN5 (which was already sold) on bassatlanta.com, and thought it was beautiful. Ordered one soon after. It is a custom order finish, but I think it is one of the most attactive colors on an FBass. The colors really change depending on the light. I couldn't be happier.

Like a duck to water! :)
The finger board is plain jane Maple but the action and feel are oh so good!
I am still getting use to the look of the head stock though. At first I thought it was a bit chessy but it grows on you!

  15. Beautiful!!!! Love that finish. I'm going to Toronto this winter and I'm definatly going to drive up to see the Fbass shop. Who knows, I may plunk some money down on one! Would be a nice christmas gift to myself !

    Congrats I'm jelous ;)

I always liked the headstock on F Basses. Go figure. Then again, my Quilt Maple BN5 has a matching exotic wood headstock stained to match. Maybe that makes it more special. The Tobacco Burst that I have coming withe the Matching heardstock looks equally well balanced. In any event, I think F Bass BN5's are the cats A**! Welcome to the club! If you're not hip to it yet, there is an F Bass users Forum on Delphi. Check it out! A great resource.

    Gary,
    Thanks for the link!
I agree that the head stock look much better with a laminate. Sounds like your new F Bass is going to be a killer!

How many Fbasses do we have in the Atlanta area?
Jome-thats some nice grain you got there too.
That TBurst from Accessbass is killer too. We don't want too many more floating around though, do we.

    F BASS, baby !
i have owned and played a ton of basses and my F bass feels like home- recently i have been playing a Lakland 55-94 that kicks butt.. but when i picked my F after a while... butter! i can play stuff on an F I can't pull off on another bass... except for Nordstrands which are just ridiculous to play.... almost like cheating...
welcome to the club, guys ! congrats!- A
