New fEARful 1515/66 ready to ship

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by DrumsAndBass, May 25, 2012.

  1. I'm looking forward to this new Green Boy design 1515/66 cabinet. It was made by JHawk Customs in Meza, Arizona. It's very easy to work with Joseph H. at the shop.
It will be delivered to me in a very short time.
I'll be trying out heads versus pre's with power amps.

This is my first time posting images, here goes:

I paid for all my gear myself. Well, me and MasterCard.
Sweet! What amp will you use to drive it?

I'll look for you on the USGS earthquake maps. :D

    beautiful work

  9. Which amp ? I am still trying to figure that out. I'll use this cab for Reggae. I'd prefer a bass head. I've been reading about:
    Streamliner 900
    Carvin B2000
    Ampeg SVT4 Pro
    Aguilar DB 751

There are no driver choices for this design. The cabinet is built around 2 Eminence 3015LF speakers.

    Nope. They're 18 Sound 6nm410, padded back.

  13. If you want loud and clean those would be among my top choices as well. The B2000 will be the next head I get, if I ever get another stand alone head.

  14. I can't wait for my 1515/66 to be ready. I already finished all the wood work. Now i'm just waiting and saving up for the speakers and other parts. It's sitting in my room just staring at me begging to be finished uuugggghhhhh.........I don't think I can wait much longer.....

BTW I'm gonna be using a Caving B2000 with mine and it should sound amazing.

I've hit mine with a Streamliner 900, and if you like the 'SVT' sound in a small loud package this can do it. I don't like a lot of breakup in my tone, but found that if you do want some of that ol' skool vibe the 900 will nail it when you dig in. I would also think you should look at the SVT 7 that everyone talks about.

i'm sure this question is old and worn-out among the fEARful fANs, but why not one 18 sound driver not padded back?

Because you can get louder without blowing drivers with two.
