I'm hearing that Fender will announce a new line up of affordable USA made instruments including basses next week. They were originally to be announced at NAMM 2019 but the announcement has been pushed up.

    Stay tuned.

If they're coming out with a Parallel Universe Meteora bass, I might be interested.
    Other than that...

    Fender is like Taco Bell.

50 different items on the menu made from the same four ingredients.

Reminds me of a Jim Gaffigan bit. (parentheticals mine, below)
    Hmmmm, what's a burrito? Meat/cheese/vegetables in a tortilla.
How about a chimichanga? Meat/cheese/vegetables in a tortilla. (deep fried)
Taco? Meat/cheese/vegetables in a tortilla. (crunchy corn, soft corn, or soft flour)
Enchilada? Meat/cheese/vegetables in a tortilla. (smothered in sauce)

I'd be interested in an early single coil P-bass--preferably contoured (or not). It is a gap in the product line.

...and I just looked at my own avatar. I'll have what Elvis is having. (The bass, not the peanut butter and fried banana sandwich.)
