NEW fender S-1 swiching system

    accoding to fender, S-1 switching system allows players to switch
    from humbuckers to single-coils in an instant
    that allows players to choose from a array of pickup configurations.

    it's cool? or terrible? why?
     
  2. I like to keep things simple and this would be confusing to me since I have been playing the same bass for 33 years!

    this somethhing they should have done along time ago....it doesn't really do it for me on the p-basses....owell

    I thought taht's what they did with Roscoe Beck V Bass...:confused:
     
  5. i thought on the jazz bass it makes the bass parrellal or series(sorry about spelling i dont use those two words much)

    no, no...

    as i know, 2003 americans series (P and JAZZ bass) will be applied to S-1 system.

    What's with the fancy switch-on-the-knob thing though? Couldn't they just have put in a separate switch, or push/pull pot?

    If they did that, they couldn't brag about their "brand new patented switching system".
