I went with a different finish than I had originally intended and as a result my build time went from 3 months to 6 days. I picked an in stock body that had been curing for nearly a year. I'm going to pick it up right now and I will report back within the next couple of hours. Glenn did a production run of 2 for me and my guitar playing buddy. He usually does a minimum of 20. Pics coming very soon.

  2. Nice, looking forward to an update.

  3. Wow! 3 months to 6 days.

Yeah, I'm waiting for the pix too.

And playing it for the first time. AND YES THAT IS A CELLPHONE AND A CAMERA IN MY POCKET

Now it's time to sit down with a tuner for a couple of weeks and learn how to play this beast.

If anyone wants to see more pics or different angles just ask.

Oh, and some specs for those who didn't catch the other thread.

Eastern Hard Maple body and neck
Pau Ferro fingerboard with ebony inlaid lines and side dots
    Fury ZP pickups
    Cremona sunburst finish
    Drop D tailpiece
Hipshot ultralight tuners (the only thing spare pots that are not made onsite)
    31.640" scale
The sexiest tone to ever be found on a fretless. My other one is quite jealous.

  7. Oooooohhh purty stuff.

  8. That is one sweet bass!

  9. MAN THAT IS GORGEOUS !!! :bassist:

I'm a sunburst freak, so I can't help but love the way your bass looks.

Much luck with it, Quallabone. ;)

They are the most subtle fret lines I have ever seen on a fretless. How is it done, are they thin strips of another wood or is it dyed or what?

Niiiiiiiice. I love the bridge -- can we get a well lit shot without flash? The glare kills the detail. Oh, and the knobs look awesome -- but not as awesome as that big green vinyl-lookin' amp you're playing through! What is that bugger?

It's Fury's version of a ramp. Quite a bit more helpful than I thought it would be when I got my first one.

The green amp is a Speedster 112. 25 Watts of class A tube goodness. It's actually a guitar amp but when you send just highs to it from a bass it sounds great. I was playing through that and the 215 cab beside it.

    Here's a pic of speedy.

And a bunch of natural light shots.

That's AWESOME -- thanks for obliging on the extra shots. That bridge looks phenomenal! I love it -- the headstock is straaaaange, but I enjoy it and the bass overall. Really neat! How much did it cost, and where is Fury Guitars based? One last thing...what are the controls?
