New Fretless P basses at Rondo

    those are very tempting. i was going to build a unlined fretless maple pbass, but figured it was worth the money i was going to put into it.

    this however, is in my budget.

    My only question is about the finish on the fingerboard. I wonder if it's got the same gloss/poly-type finish that my SX does, or if they went with a satin finish.

    Upon further looking, it appears those necks have a Jazz-type taper to them (guessing, of course, but the string spacing at the nut looks tighter than a typical P bass). Interesting.
     
  4. Yes, very interesting. I'd get one if I didn't already have a Fender P fretless and a serious lack of storage space in my music room already.

    Not digging the 1 11/16th nut width. Other than that, pretty nice.

    Ah, missed that. So I guess it's really a bit closer to a P bass' nut width.
