New gig for me

    Well, I'm not well-versed in the blues at all, but I've played occasional pickup blues gigs for years - heck it's not exactly brain surgery. Thought that the call to play a show in Houston a couple of weeks ago was just another one-nighter.

    Turns out the guy I played for, Tom Hunter, has a number of gigs planned to support a forthcoming album he collaborated on, and I can get some more work as a sideman through the summer, and culminating in a trip to Holland to play a blues festival there this fall. Best of all, I can fit this in without having to give up my pursuit of other projects.

    I need to ask Tom if I'm reading this correctly (see link above), but it looks like they used Double Trouble as the rhythm section to record the album (Stevie Ray Vaughan's old band). Kinda cool. :cool:
