Man - with a 2-J pickup config instead of the PJ, I'd really be GASin' for one of those! But then, it wouldn't be a Rocco sig, now would it?
sweet! When will it be available? Do you know where I can find the specs on it? I didnt see it on their website
From the looks of it, it has a swamp ash body, 3 piece maple neck, bird's eye maple fretboard, and a hipshot bridge/through-body stringing.. Not sure of electronics.. This model looks to have the old style 2 band pre. I dont know if it'll have a 3 band when it's available or not.
I have a Conklin Rocco Bass - the GTRP4. It's a great bass! Progzilla's pretty much right on with the specs. Bartolini P/J pickups with two band Bartolini eq, no bypass. It has Hipshot licensed tuners. I'm not sure what brand the bridge is, but it's nice. (I don't think it's Hipshot.) It does have through-body stringing. The neck is 3 piece maple with a birdseye fb. The profile is amazing, and the width is very comfortable - right between a P and a J. The action is extremely low with no buzzing. (And I'm used to graphite and Rockwood necks...) I even like the GHS Rocco strings that came on it, and I'm usually not a big nickel strings fan. I know that the basses coming out of Korea have been getting better and better lately, but I'm very impressed with the quality of this bass. I got the bass directly from Conklin right after NAMM this past July. Pat
Where can you find these at? I've searched and found all these old threads yet I've never seen the rocco model for sale anywhere
