Is that some dabbling on your part? I don't remember that generation of SX coming with a matching headstock.
Interesting that they went with a 38mm nut on the MV-4P (same as the JBs) rather than the 42mm of their other Ps. Maybe all the MVs share necks to cut costs?
Regardless, as a notorious cheapskate who likes more of a Jazz neck on his Ps, they have my attention.

Your memory is not failing you. This is a Rondo parts bass that was my first attempt at painting. The bridge, pups and controls were sourced from elsewhere and the paint was from Reranch.
I have never played a Harley.....
But man, do they look nice!
I've gotta be honest....... the price of these basses are an incredible incentive.
At least for me, and probably lots of others anyway.
I'm just gobsmacked at what 300 bucks can get you these days.

This is the kind of thing that really makes $2k mass production basses seem overpriced. If these, with wood types and basic construction, equal less than $250 then how the hell are expensive ones really worth it for the large price gap? Just silly.
For the price you can buy an extra in natural finish, just for the neck
HB are really running with the qaulity to price point ratio at the moment. My 2 JB-75's and my new MV-4PJ in Danphe Blue

Whoops, just looked at the specs again, and I think there's a typo. It says 1.65" (38mm), but 1.65" = 42mm and 1.5" = 38mm.

My Paisley P-bass has stayed on it's stand, looking pretty, since I got the Harley Benton PB-50 back in 2014. Reason the Fender has become an ornament is simple, the Harley Benton both plays and sounds better.
Far as maintenance/wear & tear goes; the PB-50 has required none; not even tightening of strap button screws.
I was an insufferable gear snob, I'm sure you know the type, before that £76 bass demolished my foolish notions
