Hey guys, new here! Thought I ought to sign up as I'm relatively new to the bass world, and I keep coming across various questions and dilemmas when it comes to gear and playing.

Anyway, here are some photos of the bass I have in progress. It's for someone else unfortunately.. Wish I could keep it!

Beautiful build, but I'm glad I don't have to try and play that monster.

I'm highly opinionated and extremely self-assured
Love the stinger on the back of the headstock! But yeah, I can't even fathom the mechanics of how to play something like that. Unless maybe it's intended to be tapped?

Gorgeous stuff! Spam me all you want with that pretty hunk of bass.

Semi-unrelated, but... Are those wooden organ pipes in the fourth picture down? Color me intrigued...

While we are on the subject of stuff in the back ground. That acrylic, fanned fret, headless job with the wood veneers looks pretty interesting.

Looks more like an aluminum frame with woody bits attached to me.

This is "too much bass" if I ever saw it :D Looks beautiful yet utterly unplayable to a 4-string metal guy like meself :)

  12. Check out Nuclear Rabbit for some metal played on a 9 string.

  13. We can't all be Jean Baudin and he also used an 11-string with Nuclear Rabbit if memory serves me.
Anyway awesome bass, can you give us some specs.?I see you use circle k strings good boy.And also video demo maybe?

Yep they are. Nicely spotted. I work for a firm that builds and restores pipe organs and use the workshop for my fun and games.

Also yes it's a headless fan fret 8 string with an aluminium body I made for my 6th form project. Here it is with my first build on the garden furniture

Strange, that picture still looks like it has acrylic in it to me. Maybe my eyes are going bad

Looks like a silver metal here, possibly aluminum. I dig it.

The last pic he posted of it clearly shows what its made of. I was talking about the first pic it was in.

My bad, I missed the descriptor "aluminum" in the post.
    Apologies.

And I see what you're talking about in the first pic.
