Hi there all! I have seen some rumours on websites about new basses (as well as guitars) from Ibanez to be shown at NAMM 2017. See what they will show in the link below: NAMM 2017: Ibanez reveals 55 new electric, acoustic and bass guitars The ones that caught my eye: (BTB guy here) Ibanez 2nd Generation 'Ashula' SRAS7-DEB fretted/fretless hybrid Ibanez Premium BTB1806-NTL Ibanez Premium BTB1805-NTL Ibanez BTB846SC-DTL Ibanez BTB845SC-NTL Ibanez BTB746-NTL Ibanez BTB745-NTL Let's see what you guys think
Thanks for the link! I think the Ashula and the Aerium look really cool and unique! Would love to check those out!
Some cool stuff If money was freed up & that SRH (Hollow body) is fretless I would like to check it out. That would be the highlight for me.
I have 2 Ibanez 6 stringers that I love...and as soon as MF gets in the BTB846SC-DTL I'm ordering it...I do really wish they had a non-stained version though...The high end Ibanez basses are such a great value. I don't see them being any less of a great bass as my Kiesels and Stambaughs. And they are one of very few big companies willing to do anything creative in their bass selection.
I really dig this new SC body style and am wondering what street value is going to be. American Music Supply has it listed at $1099.99. I'd have bo qualm snagging one at that price. The 1806 premium is calling my name as well, but it's hard to outclass the 846SC. Lol I got to move my Bongo first, I need more strings!!!
Come on, don´t let this topic dies until someone come with some audio clip, video or review of the Aerium ones!
There's a small section of the clip on Anderton's Ibanez NAMM 2017 post of a bassist playing one of the new BTB's and it sounds fantastic also there's a full Ashula review on YouTube also
