It's a cool gig, they put you up in their band house for the week/weekend, enough room for the 6 piece band and a handful of guests.

I'm just covering for a killer Nashville upright cat that left to start his masters up at New England Conservatory, so if he is still up there around next spring, I might do the 7 day Spring-break Spinnaker gig. Most likely he'll be off for Spring break and want his gig back. I'm just keeping the seat warm till he returns.

it's a fun gig (they have great originals too!), I have a week long stint with them in Auburn/Destin towards the end of the month, that should be fun... A tad bit more classy than PCB. We here in the south call Panama City/Panama City Beach the Redneck Riviera? :D

Here are some shots from a gig we played last weekend. This is at a marina/campground on the Sandusky River (about 5 minutes from my house by boat, but about 35 by car). They trucked in 100+ tons of sand and fake palm trees and made this cool little venue at the marina entrance. They don't have a permanent liquor permit, so every weekend involves a temporary permit, with 60% of the profit going to a different charity each weekend. The charity that night was Kids Cancer Crusade, and we helped make them a nice chunk of change. :)

    The Berg PA lives!

    Ohio palm trees.

This is during setup/sound check, so no real crowd yet.

We didn't have much room, so I was forced to bring only two basses. :smug: But man, I can cover a lot of ground with these two! Sadowsky P/J 5 and Skjold Exotic Custom 4.

I was about to make a really cool face for the photo, but unfortunately, the shot was captured while I was still in transition. ;) :p

Man, I love that Skjold. It probably goes to more gigs than any other bass in my arsenal.
    SDC10099.jpg

Cool shot of the lighthouse and river behind us.
    SDC10090.jpg

All in all, a very fun gig.

Cedar Point is not too far. About 45 min by boat or car from that venue. If you like roller coasters, Cedar Point is as good as it gets!

  19. There's a pair of smoking guns there and a crazy huge PA rig. I'm sure your tone wasn't a problem at that gig, maybe mosquitoes were though.

Looking rather manly there Tom but I don't know if it's you or the Skjold. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.:D

  20. man, I can hear the groove from here!!!
