Got another jazz this week, it's a 75 R.I. in car w/matching red headstock rosewood neck and white block inlay's. This bass is a special edition and 1 of 200 made. This bass was slated for the european market but only 40 went over seas and 160 stayed here. and yes it has all the vintage stuff pups, ashtray,s thumb rest and sound. I feel very lucky to get one of these.

    looks sweet. How's the action?

Also like the couch too. How much do you want for it?

:( im pretty slow so dont hurt me for askin this but,

how do those thumb rests work if the're below the strings?

  10. It's not really a thumb rest below the strings. It's a finger rest so you can play with only your thumb.

Man that is one sweet Jazz, It lookes like a 66 Reissue especialy with the Matching Head and the thumb rest below the strings instead of on top.

I just have one word to say about that bass:

I think that's one of the top 3 most beautiful Jazz basses I've ever seen!!!
  13. uuggggggghh *drools*

Looks great! I'd rather have a plain maple headstock instead of that red, but other than I love it! And I do really like that red-colour :D
  14. Leo thought that guitarists would double on bass, and would play with their thumbs. Its purely there for cosmetic reasons, IMO

Clothes are cool, but I prefer it naked... :)

I never tried a bass with pickup covers like those, looks a bit cramped and limiting... where do you play the strings? Between the covers?
