new kid looking for thoughts on my bass

    hi i'm completely new and uneducated in the world of bass playing and am just looking for a few opinions.

    i've got a Hondo H-815 bass guitar and am wondering if you think this is a decent/good choice for a beginner like me.
    i'm only looking to teach myself on it, and once i get better, move onto a better bass.

    thoughts?

    Should be fine for a beginner, once you learn teh ropes a little better and are looking to progress furhter, an upgrade is definitely necesary.

    +1 Once you start feeling like your bass is seriously holding you back from progressing with your technique and (more importantly) enjoying your playing, then it's definately time to upgrade.
