New Kramer basses. Thoughts anyone?

    Saw Steel Panther the other night. Yeah they rocked & all that. On their recordings, I love Lexie's tone. Not sure what's being used there but live gigs are also an image thing and I loved the look of his Kramer stash.

    I have no knowledge about his tuning or if it's strung BEAD or any of that stuff. I love what they do though so, any of you who have knowledge...

    The D-1 is a pretty good bass, but not fantastic or anything like that. Though I don't own one, I did play one a while back and I've read lots of reviews.

    I believe Lexxi plays Spectors in the studio, and he's always played through GK (both studio and live).

    As for tuning, I think all of Steel Panther's songs are tuned half a step down (Eb).
