Here's pics of Kramers new Striker bass - dig it. Not too far from a Forum Bass Reissue. :smug:

And don't worry... it'll be better priced than a Jackson CMG.

I'm sure it'll be offered in Red/white also eventually.

And isnt up for sale, but this was just released. :ninja:

you just can't compare that to a CMG Ben ---hahaha.

CMG's are way overpriced anyway

...At least they finally are using a brass nut and NO stupid string tree :D

At least it has a normal Kramer headstock because I don't really like the new Disciple series at all.

I hope it plays better than their YoYo era basses.

All Musicyo was was a retailer for them... had little to do with real production my friend. ;)

Yeah, i agree... i may get a used disciple one of these days. :D

But i do like this... maybe its just the neck? :spit:

List price will most likely be $249.99 - $349.99... and Kramer SHOULD start doing some leftys one of these days.... they made plenty of Leftys when they sold through Musicyo.com.... ;)

I tried a fiver out a few weeks ago...long story short,it had serious tuning problems, the neck is really thin, very similar to Ibanez necks, you could get a decently low action and a decent sound.

A fiver...Striker? Or Disciple? I generally play five-string live, so the Disciple would be more tempting if if were available with five. I've never seen a fiver Disciple. Anyone know if a fiver is available or in the works?

I'd been eyeballing the Disciple, but I'm a fan of the hockey-stick and/or pointy Kramer headstocks, too, I don't care for the new font either. The Disciple is gorgeous except for that dang headstock. I like a wide but shallow neck, the sort of slim-taper compound radius the Barettas had.

Huh--different strokes, horse for courses, all that. I like the looks of the Disciple way way way better than the looks of the new Striker. The Disciple looks better-balanced and has the sort of Ibanez BTB dynamic lines. The Striker just looks... bleh. Not even "meh". I like the Jackson pointy hockeystick hs, but the Striker one just seems like an emasculated version of that.

If the Disciple comes out in a 5er, I'll have to check that out.

You likely played a five String Striker Bass with dual humbuckers and a reverse headstock.

Kramer did not make five string basses before they were bought my Gibson in 1995, except for one model.

And what a suprise.. I have one! :D

Needs dual Split P pickups for that true 80s vibe.

I played em all, and don't have a preference for any of them.

and KBF, if having a p-p model was important to Jackson they would have made one of those as well :)

( I thought this was "talk about Kramers" thread...where'd Jackson come from? )

you actually read all the posts...lol?

KBF better NOT compare the 2 companies since I'm just certain that Kramer will make a bass comeback where Jackson is still selling the 5 year old stupid CMG and Campbell sig GARBAGE that nobody wants anyway. :spit:

85-95 is where Jackson ruled....anymore, nope!!!
