I LOVE TUBE HEADS, and to me, part of having one is being able to see the Tubes. I had an old speaker cabinet grill lying around, cut here, snip there, a BOOM! It turned out better than I expected, kind of looks like the newer V4. This is the older version V-Type, and even though I really like the way it looked originally, I thought I would spruce it up a bit. The other PIC shows the original front ( minus Trace logo )

I've been considering doing this to my V6 for a while....not only does the grill look badass but I feel like the amp will get better air circulation that way....the wood front cover keeps it awfully hot in there....

Thanks for the compliment. Those four KT88's made it pretty hot in there before the mod, I can't imagine what it was like with six KT88's in there:eek:

That looks sweet! A darker room with glowing tubes would be sweeter!

I tried to take a pic in the dark, but it kept coming up blurry. I'll try it again

LOL, sorry, no I just mean the front grill:) I swapped out all the OEM valves for a complete set of JJ's; I figured the OEM would be worth something down the road.;)
