    Greetings all,

I'm coming up to the point where i am thinking of changing over some of my gear. I am thinking of trading in my Warwick 411 pro cab and Tubepath 5.1 amp in. I previously used to own a Markbass 102p combo and absolutely loved it. I was thinking of maybe trying to get one of those again. Another option is to get the seperate Little Mark III and traveler 102p (I know they are the same as whats in the combo). Would it be better just going the combo or get them seperate. I maybe think about adding a 115p to the mix later on.

I currently use a P-Bass and Warwick Thumb NT5, and down the track looking to get a Sadowsky MV5-24.

Are there anything else you guys/girls recommend?

I basically mainly play at home.

    Best regards,
  2. Why did you get rid of the 102P?

I ended up doing a trade, in which currently i really regret. I suppose my other option would be going the CMD121p with the NY 121 extenstion

I own the CMD121p and the NY121. You can't go wrong with that combination.

I have LMIII and NY151. I played a lot of combinations before settling on that and I'm very happy with it.

102HF, the front porting makes a huge difference.

This is a great combination. BTW - My acoustic engineer says that front or rear porting makes no difference. The low bass that comes out is non-directional.

So i suppose the question is, how much is the tubepath and 411 worth?

Probably at a certain distance that's correct. But up close, the front porting sounds/feels deeper. For me, that was a priority.

Plus, and this wasn't part of my original point, the 102p is smaller than the 102hf. I don't think they make the 102hr anymore, but that would be the size equivalent, and that's the one I did side by side comparisons with when I was shopping.
  10. Get the combo, you can take the head out and use it with whatever you want.
