New Markbass stuff from NAMM 2019

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Kijuer, Jan 11, 2019.

  1. Uhm....basses? Tube compressor in head-sized enclosures? Mini pedals?

Everything feels so "meh" to me...and I' a proud Markbass user....

    Those basses..um.

  3. There is nothing wrong with Markbass.

But there is so much wrong on that one page IMO.

  4. Let me be the first to say , "HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM".

  5. I love MB too. I own SD1200, TTE800, STD106HF, STD106HR, CMD102P and TRV102P and they all sound damn good. It's just that this new stuff...don't know...I can only see their new hybrid head going somewhere,maybe...maybe...

It feels like there have been alot of Richard Bona basses.

    U.K.
Went to a Bona gig last month where he was playing one of the new basses. Sounded great but he was playing through an Ampeg stack which was also great! I'd like to try one though. The rest of the line up wasn't on my Christmas list.

  10. You know what’s crazy? All these new things that probably took a ton of research and I’d have been happier to see a CASA head in black that would match my ampeg cabs lol

  11. Maybe it’s because of all the great products Marco has already released and now it’s getting harder to come up with new products.

My Berlin Combo and NY151 extension cab is one of my favorite gear acquisitions that I have zero buyers remorse with and sounds great with all my basses. Only thing I use with it is my programable Sansamp BDDI.

Nothing there for me but thanks just the same.

  15. Too many short-lived innovations in the last years...their mini pedals, the MoMark stuff, the Studio Pre, the Evo1...there must be a reason, and honestly I don't feel this new stuff will have a different fate. We have a metaphor in Italy that can be roughly translated as "the same broth heated and re-heated". And that's exactly the feeling that I have. (As well as we had some products that were favorites and yet were gone, like F1, F500, R500, and many still miss them. Why not resurrecting those? I would love to have a R800!)

Let's see if this new " Gold" line is on to something really new, different, innovative. I just don't need another "standard" MB head.

Sure would like to try that Gold bass, although I'd prefer a P neck pup.
