Hey, I'm James Britt from Atlanta. I would like to load up a Danelectro with heavy flats (105-e). Will that little neck take the tension?

I strung a dano BEAD. Had to fiddle with the truss rod a few days as the neck took some time to adjust. You should be fine, just gonna have take the neck on and off a couple of times. :) One of the few things I hate about danelectros.

Thanks Joe. If you've done BEAD successfully then I should have no problem with chromes in standard. Know what ya mean about the p.i.t.a. neck removal dance! It's the TONE baby! It's worth it!

Same problem on my Dano 63 guitar. Tone for days and days, plays so well with distortion, but every time the weather changes ( I live in Ohio and that's every 4 minutes ) you have to take the whole thing apart to adjust it.

I played a Dano longhorn bass at GC years ago that was strung BEAD, sounded awesome, and the action was ok.

The issue can be getting the string ends of a heavy flat thru the tiny peghead holes...good luck there.
