Hi, I just found this site and just joined. I am member number 19,277. I see you have quite a few members here, so I look forward to enhancing my bass playing experience via this forum. I'm a bass newbie. I play the drums a little for fun, but I don't have the room to build a soundproof studio where I live now and I would disturb my tenants too much so I decided to get a bass for my musical expression for now. I already have a couple of amps and bottoms from some days past when I operated a rehersal studio, so I bought an Epiphone Les Paul 5 stringer and just plugged in with the volume on low. I look forward to reading in this forum. I'll probably have a bunch of questions too. 'till later.
another word of advice just as a premtive attack...what ever you do, do not ask for tabs in any situation. not that i have a problem with them it's just some of the other people around here that do.

Hello tom Hello Eskimo Bob, hey if I was a spammer I would mention the TB UK Steve Lawson Seminar in London on the 8th of Dec. But I'm not, so I wont.
Hey Tom welcome to TB!!:d We`re all one big happy family here!!! "Mommmmmmmm jimmy`s hoggin` the amp again!!!"
My, what a freindly place this is. Looking forward to getting into playing the bass more. I'm going ot take my bass in for a tuneup, it seems like the neck is leaning forward a little. And I'm motivated to hook up my 2nd amp through the low crossover on my Peavy and use it to power the low end seperately through my 115 bottom. I hadn't bothered with that up till now, as I don't play loud anyway, I just practice. I don't play in a band or anything, but I've been inspired. Maybe it's time to shake the walls a little. -=TB=-
