I just bought "the bass" this past Saturday. It's a Modulus Quantum 6 string. I bought it from Mars brand new with a case. You all tell me if I got a good deal - $1500. It was marked down to $1900, and when I told him I was going to special order one (which Mars can't do - they filed Chapter 11 - sales guy told me) he dropped it to 1500.

I planned on ordering a 5 string with the wide neck, but I couldn't pass up the deal. I think I'll like the extra string. I know I love the bass.

Cool. Q6's are good basses. 15 bones is an excellent deal on a new one. Congrats. What's it look like?

Modulus Q6...an excellent choice. Very excellent.

  6. Damn! Why do I have to be unemployed when Mars decides to file chapter 11? That sounds like a sweet deal!

It has bart's (NTMB) with the mid control. I tried a 5 with the EMG's, but I preferred the warmer tone of the Bart's. I love it more everytime I pick it up. It has a lightly quilted maple top (natural finish), black hardware, and a composite fingerboard.

I tried out a Pedulla Rapture PJ 5-string with barts and I loved the tone, but "the sound" and flexible tones I wanted weren't there. (picture attached) If only I could have afforded two basses.

I'll post some pics tomorrow of the Q6 so you can see it in all it's glory.
