I'm trying to get a new neck for my MIM Jazz V but the only neck I like is Warmoth and those are 22 frets. The neck I have now is only 20 frets. Is this going to really mess up anything besides the setup?
  2. The Warmoth necks are replacements for Fender necks. The additional frets are there because of an extended fretboard that allows more frets. The heel of the neck is tucked under the end of the fretboard and will fit (sometimes with a little massaging) the pocket on your bass.
