The Inteceptor was G&L's attempt to join in on the pointy guitar/bass trend of the 80's. The guitar version was even more bizarre with a cutaway in the lower bout.

Very rare bass.. the Interceptor shared pickups with the El Toro. I wish G&L would reissue those pickups. They kill, imho.

    Nice score.

That's an awesome bass. I know I would rock it, even with it's hair metal origins!

The guitar looks like one of those clocks that were made out of a slice of a redwood tree.

Digging the bass though. Ahh, spandex.... :bassist:

Like I said; I bought it to make a quick buck, but the bass play & sounds incredible. Lots of tonal options. It has the same controls as the L-2000. I love it!

Oh, jeez no, I wish it was, even if my guitar skills border disgraceful and non existant.

I just found that on Google, since you mentioned it, and I'd not seen one, thought I'd share. :)

Congratulations on your find. I almost bought one like that a couple of years ago but it was a beat up bass and the guy was asking too much for it. Didn't have the trem though. I wonder what practical use the trem would have in anything except some experimental or ambient music...
