Yeah I like it better than the pinkish Fireglo.

  5. although it goes without saying, I want one.

This is not good. The only thing that put me off getting a fireglo was the general bad karma that having a pink guitar brings...

But now it looks like im getting a job again :meh:
  7. Woah...thats nice! I love the pinkish fireglo they do anyway, but thats more like the Gison/Epiphone "cherryburst" or cherry-sunburst you get on Les Pauls...not really a RICKEE colour, but its nice
  8. Take a look at the older Fireglow Ricks...

That's what the new Fireglow will look like twenty years from now, due to yellowing....the pink will eventually turn darker, kinda like the difference between a raw steak, and a medium-well one...

That being said, the new color kinda looks like an aged Fireglow....I want both!

I only hope that Rickenbacker will never release a 4003 with 24 frets. I will suffer of a serious GAS case if that happens. Cool basses!

I'd sell my right lung if they'd even just add a 21st fret. I use that high E so much, I just can't justify being without it.

    Gone to a better place

Don't worry, you will get what you hope. Not going to happen.

I know. They seem to be very conservative.

Partially, it's the majority of their customer base that's conservative. I've seen John Hall post more than a few times on various forums that when he even thinks of making a change to an instrument, he gets flooded with complaints from the old guard. Even the slightest cosmetic changes can set people off ("I like the '60s headstocks better" "what's up with that 'hump' in the new 4003 pickguards" etc). That said, there ARE apparently a couple changes in store for the 4003 this year (a new bridge design for one) and I, for one, am intrigued to see how they turn out. The new bridge in particular!

I find the amber fireglo to be a really nice colour for 2006

But, what intrigues me even more is the new Bass model Ric is supposed to announce soon, most likely another Vintage series Bass !!!

    G.A.S. !!!!

That AFG looks a lot like my 1974 4001, that fact has suppressed my G.A.S.! I'm looking forward to the new drop-in replacement bridges they're supposed to offer soon.

I really like the new-old Amber Fireglo too. I look forward to seeing it.

I guess that we will all find on or around the 19th. Perhaps sooner if Mr Hall chooses to let us in on what's coming down the pipe.

I'm not getting my self all worked up (yet).

PS - The G-B and the SR are awesome with the C400

    Amber Fireglo = Cherry Sunburst

I like it, but no more than regular Fireglo.

Fireglo looks better, but then again I'll have to see it on a bass first.
