New Orleans Jazz Fest Artist...

    Hey folks, I heard threw the grapevine some of the acts coming in April/May. The official list is due out soon. Bob Dylan, Crosby Stills Nash, Fats Domino, Al Jaraux( ;) ),Wide Spread Panic, Keb Mo, The Thunderbirds, Buddy Guy, and the usual Dr. John, Neville's, Meters, Galactic. There are 11 stages for 8 days. That's around 700+ sets of Heritage based(sorta) music....wooo hooo! Fest is coming.

    No, it's a Jazz and Heritage Festival. Jazz Fest is the short version. Don't worry about it, you wouldn't be interested.;) We don't know nuthin bout no Jazz here in New Orleans.

    Also, New Orleans' jazz scene isn't as traditional as some think of, when thinking of jazz.

    Yea you right. I've seen Keb several times, always good show. Have you seen the Keb Mo' DVD "session at west 54th"? Reggie McBride has such a great tone on bass. He's a favorite for my style of playing....
