I like that Cirrus, but I'm not really fealing the Zodiac.

I'm sure both are great though.

Zodiac looks like peaveys 'remix' on the 51-P

I wonder what the bridge string spacing on that new Cirrus is?

Zodiac would look better with a Tort Pickguard against the black top. (in my opinion) A Bolt-On Cirrus is cool, but I wish Peavey would use standard Pickup sizes so you could use aftermarket PU's/Preamps. Then you could hop them up with Bart's, EMG's, DiMarzio's, fralins, whatever.

I had an original Neck Thru Rudy Sarzo bass years ago that was great, and I would have kept it had I been able to swap out the electronics and/or Pickups. Played very well.

I totally dig the Zodiac, but I just know it's got a 1.5" nut. I'd be tempted by one if it had so much as a P style (1.625") nut, but it's bound to be too narrow for my meaty mits of might. All aliteration aside, it's pretty neat.

Just checked, it is indeed a 1.5" nut.

Why do they all hate me so much?

LOL! I just talked to Dave, and he said that they're still a work in progress. I'll relay your comments to him. As for the person that wanted a tort p/g, they'll have those. I did tell him that I wasn't too crazy about that monorail bridge.

I'm fine with the monorail. If you're talking with them, relay these comments:

Heavy bridge w/ open channel (quick change) slots. Monorail or otherwise.

1.625" Nut, or even better, 1.75"!

...that's about it. Do those, and I'd make a serious effor to buy one. If you made the 5er with a 2" nut, I'd own several.

It does look wider than the neck-through 5, doesn't it.

Yes. You can buy them from Hipshot. They talk about them on their site. They are new in cooperation with Peavey. There is a tube underneath that goes all the way through the body (ala a tu-tech bridge) for through body stringing if you want.

Don't bow sir. Now you know, so you know no less than I. LoL

Seriously, I was just being a jerk to be a jerk. I'm a "grammar Nazi" most of the time. On the forum, I'm not so clinical, but in majoring in philosophy and hoping for a career in writing, I had to spend a lot of time making sure I didn't make mistakes in my papers and such. I don't make a habit of pointing out when someone else misspells something or whatever, I just like to correct misunderstandings when they are begging for it. :)

I'm sure now every time I make a mistake, someone will be sure to point it out. LoL

Anyway, it's all good bro. :)
