4 string tailpiece. Cocobolo with curly maple accent stripe.
#1. Is this photo reversed, or is this a left-hand tail piece? I thought the string length is longer on the E side.
#2. Is cocobolo considered a heavy wood, like ebony?
If you open in new window (or save and enlarge), the writing on the bottom left corner of pic is a mirror image. Must be reversed. Found a few links on google about about the wood, but not trying to give any advice on this. (Although seems to be heavy.) Just trying to help on the photo.
it is a righty. coco is a dense heavy wood.. like ebony
