new pickups

    ok first this is my first post here so hi :wave:

    second, i currently have a pbass knock off that i defretted and i really like the jazz sound so i am looking as turning it into a JPJ configeration. now what i am wondering is what type of replacement pickups will give me the sound that is closest to a MIJ sound??? thanks in advance

    A MIM or MIJ fretless jazz bass. For the money that you would spend on a quality set of pickups (or even a middle-of-the-road set), you would probably be better off saving a bit and investing in a MIM or MIJ fretless jazz.

    but those wouldn't have a JPJ configeration. thats what i am looking for and my bass sounds really good and plays really good. so i don't need a new one
