  2. Loooks good! That is a dramatic top. Are you going for a gloss finish or satin?

    I wondered that too.

BTW, are the LED's on the top of the board, the side, or both??

And how much extra was it to have them put on there?? If you don't mind me asking, that is.;) (you can PM with it, if you don't mind)

Looks very nice. Keep us posted on its progress.

  10. It's high gloss tung oil. Formby's High Gloss. It produces a gloss finish, not like poly or nitro, but it is glossy. It's just not thick.

Nice looking! I'm not a big fan of purpleheart fretboards, but it looks great on your bass. Thge spalteing is very "strong," I'm guessing that that's about as far as it can go before the log falls apart. Was the wood very soft or hard to work?

Is that a spider on the top of your headstock? ;)

the pickups will be seymour duncans with an aguiliar obp-1 pre amp.

the wood was slightly difficult for dave to work with..and was soft in a few places. but not as bad as you think it would be. he said it wasnt as hard to work with as jeffs buck eye burl.

and no its not a spider, just odd figuring :p
