Im looking t that dyed maple and how great you got it looking- i wasnt too blown away when i saw the bookmatched set, but you brought it out there- - and every clip i have heard of your basses have been very pleasant to the ear- and thats a pet peeve- i HATE to earch for a sound on a bass- itss gotta be there, right on the surface, waititng for you-
sounds like your basses have that naturaly sweet and usable tone-
    the piece was very cool...

Sorry Adrian, didn't mean to say you were a bass snob ;)

Just that knowing your tastes and all the beautifull (F and MTD are probably the two brands I prefer too) basses you've laid your hands on, It's pretty cool for me to know you're impressed :D

Too bad you're too far from Xush to check his fretless...

    Thanks for the kind words!

    Peace, JP

    Killer harmonics!

    looks great too!

    sheesh, good stuff.

Not really the tone I'm into these days, but I like it nonetheless.

I don't think I've heard anyone scream in French before. Me likey. You certainly hear the power in the low notes in Bastien's tracks. Really shows off the B string. Or Bb in this case. Do you call it the H string over there?

Jerome's jazzy tracks are nice too. Shows off the higher registers a little more.

Great players, both. Bastien is more restrained in the band setting, eh?

Now I'm terrified to post clips. I'm a drummist, dangit! My bass skills are atrophying...

  11. They both sound great! Leaving aside the musical styles, Bastien's tone is more the sort of thing I personally go for--I'm not much into the "Marcus" sound.

So obviously my Plume would need a wenge neck, right? :D

    LMAO ;)

Jojobass's Plume also has wenge in the neck. Those different clips really show versatility I try to put in the basses. The allow two different players to get the sound they like !
I'm pretty sure Bastien would still be able to get this tome with Jojo's bass.

    Anyway, Wenge rules for sure!!!

are their electronics similar to mine, JP?
Because there's A LOT of tonal variety to be found in that preamp! I haven't even scratched the surface. I can't get over the range of that EQ. Very musical too.

I think the Plume is a really versatile machine.
Now if I could only play it!

    Very same preamp!

only difference is they both requestd an additional passive tone pot but it is not used in the clips.

Leave that computer and go play the damn thing NOW!!! I want a clip for my wedding present :D :D

    Peace, JP
