Well, folks may have a new pope as of today...

I didn't even get a chance for my other thread ideas:
    "pope poll"
    "pope pool"
    "pick-a-pope"

Not sure...I thought it'd take longer, so I didn't get a chance to do any research on who was being seriously considered.

    HABEMUS PAPA!!!!

Probably this German guy (Rahzinger or something), the one that was leading all the legal and ilegal polls here in Europe...

  6. There seems to be a lot of favor for a certain Nigerian guy (can't remember his name).

Right now, I'm just hoping we get a new Pope like John XXIII or Paul VI.

I'd like to see one like Pope Hilarius or Pope Fabian.

Man, they never gave me a chance! I could have brought some fresh new ideas and insight to the Catholic church, seeing as how I'm not a Catholic.

Ah well. On to my campaign as the next reincarnation of the Buddha.

  15. I am not catholic, but watching the events fold today were pretty awesome and awe-inspiring. I think I almost cried when I saw the new pope walk out.

I was born and raised Catholic and although, I'd probably be consider somewhat "lapsed" (which is entirely my fault, not the Church's), I couldn't help feeling some awe and a little bit of pride watching this whole process.

I was personally hoping for the Nigerian. I am not Catholic (mostly due to the same problems Martin Luther had :smug: ), but I do think that this decision will have a change on world politics that we may not even know yet.
