    New project by RMBasses from the UK

    this is the design ive suggesed


    the wood for the facing will be maple


    the piece on the left

    the headstock and neck and bridge will be identical to that on a previous bass made by RMBasses


    comments will be greatly appreciated

    You'd be best off asking the man himself

    his is a mohogany body however mine will be bubinga with a maple top

    Nice design! It looks to me like you might loose a lot of figure on your top plates though. Be sure to slide the template around / upside down etc. before you cut :)

    Yeah the guy who builds them Robbie has got a beautiful finish on that bass, its an all in one design where mine will be a bolt on.

    he's doing it for a really good price too. Top Guy :)

    that bass of his isnt finished yet, he's getting a pickup custom made then he will probably rest his thumb there ;)

    Sorry...I missed that. I was referring to the completed bass.

    BTW, how is the upper register access of this design? Seems like a lot of fingerboard over the body, though it appears that this has a very extended range.

    Hi All,

    Names Robbie,builder of this fretless bass.Thanks for all the nice words,looks like its coming together nicely.Pickup should be with me next week and Toms bass will be started soon.

    As far a this bass goes,ive applied a couple of coats of tung oil to stop me getting marks in the wood.The bass has come up darker but I like it.The other pics where to show the top wood with meths only
    The scale length is only 34 inch
