New PUPs for Epiphone LP

Hi just wondering if you guys had any sugestions about some new pups for a 4 string epi les paul. My friend is just dead set on keeping it(loves the huge neck, and doesnt mind the wieght). It had a wicked hum to it, so I replaced the pots and all the wiring for him. But it just doesnt have the sound he wonts, and I defanaly agree, the stock humbuckers leave alot to be desired. So if any of you have some sugestions that would be great!
