R basses are 100% hand made no CNC machines were used, excellence to detail, this combination of woods in particular give this bass a killer slap tone, the best definition on the B string on the market with a well tempered fret work that gives these basses an incredible accuracy on the intonation all along the fingerboard. The definition is not restricted to the B string, all the strings along the fingerboard show a definition rarely see in the market. Just found on Carl Thompson and Peter Hilton Basses, R. Roger worked with Carl Thompson and is one of the best luthiers in the world, that continues the old school tradition of luthiers that does everything by hand. The bass is brand new.
