Finally I managed to snap some pics of my new ground shaking, foundation cracking rig.

Peavey Firebass 700 (thanks Teej) and an Avatar 212(4 ohm). Its so much ridiculous power.

I had my first practice with it on Friday and I was completely able to bury my guitarist hehe. Of course I turned down but I just wanted to show him the power. ;)

I have a question for Firebass owners, what is your EQ setting? I haven't quite reached the perfect tone I want which may be hard to find with a 3 band EQ. I do love the contour knob though, although it takes volume away.

Anyway, here's the required photo which also has the headstock of my Ibane SR885 in the way.

  2. Congrats on the new setup.

I don't own a peavy amp, but anytime you turn up a enhance knob, all you do is suck away tone and ability to cut through. What they generally do is boost the lows and highs, and all but remove the mids. This may sound cool when you play alone, but is trash in a mix. (Sounds quieter, and less present)
