Ritters visually do it for me.
That Quilted Maple Burl Roya 5 is stunning.
I'm not a fan of the gold/silver/chrome plated ones. I think it looks pretty cheesy to me.

The gold one is the definition of "over the top".

Never played or even seen a Ritter bass, so can't say anything about that, but man, this guy is a genius when it comes to aesthetics.

I don't know if this is good or bad, but I can't call what I'm sensing GAS, it's more like Art Acquisition Syndrome. Aside from the more flamboyant ones, that simple white one with padouk pup covers and fretboard is just beautiful and elegant. And I still can't get that one he had with the line drawings out of my head.

For the longest I thought Ritters looked too radical, but they are really growing on me and they really ooze quality. That Jens Ritter is one heck of a luthier!

I actually dig the steel front one, dont like the gold at all. I liked almost all the other ones. Especially the white with bubinga board and pickup covers. Very much like the black one with birdseye maple board and covers. For some reason, thats just hot to me. I usually dont dig painted basses, but those seem to do the trick for me :)

I regret not buying a Reverend Brad Houser with this finish. Neato!

The 6 string with the trem and dirty black finish is super Badass! I really dig the white one with Padouk board/covers, the steel one, and the turquoise burl maple one. Geez he puts out amazing work!

EDIT: 5 seems to be the string count of choice here... and I'm surprised to see there's no Okons or any of his other designs...

I don't like the all gold one at all...but I guess it's not for everyone!

I really do dig the all blue one, and this next one I could play :smug:

How on earth does Jens do it? He's just unbeliveable. He can make all those insane basses, and they all sell in a heartbeat. Crazy. Man that page is a GAS attack, that metal finish is pretty cool. Heck, it's all awesome, would love to see a new SEAL or two though.
  15. I've visited him last August ( link in my sign. ) and still don't know how he does it ! He's one of a kind . Man , just when you think you've seen it all !
  16. hell yeah , he's in a league of his own imo.
