Gard just hit me with several super new tops! I've got so many tops and basses on order now, I decided to separate my Roscoe section into 3 sections. Roscoe basses available for immediate sale can now be found here: Roscoe Basses (In Stock) Roscoe basses that we have on order can be found here: Roscoe Basses (On Order) And Roscoe tops that are just waiting for your next custom order can be found here: Roscoe Basses (Available Tops) So now onto the these new tops! I need to figure out what the price that I show on these tops means, but I'm pretty sure I'll just show the retail price of the top. I need to get that info from Gard tomorrow, so please ignore the prices for now. Katalox Top Flamed Koa Top Quilted Spalted Maple Top & Back If you're considering a custom Roscoe order and like one of these tops, please PM me. I'd love to help you develop a complete spec list and get you an exact quote. They're talking July delivery at this point, but I can probably get your order here a bit quicker by bumping out one of the basses intended for my store inventory.
Dang, Gard is KILLING me with cool stuff!! This SKB-3006 (S/N 6011) body became available and is near enough to completion (along with a neck, of course) that I should see it later this month.
Oh, and I figured out how I want to show prices on the available tops. I'm showing the full retail price of each top, so 75% of that price is what you'd actually pay for the top once it's part of a bass. And the prices ARE now accurate. So now all I need is somebody who wants to be my first Roscoe Custom Order I imagine that Katalox top is talking to quite a few of you... I know it's screaming at me ("Buy me! Buy me! Buy me!"). I'll handle Roscoe custom orders the same way I handle every other brand. A 20% deposit lets me place the order, and the balance is not due until the bass arrives at my store 3-4 months later. So who's ready?
I've received a couple questions that make me think I need to clarify the process for doing a custom order. It's pretty simple really, but I did leave a lot up to the imagination. So here's the long version: 1) Find a top you like here, or ask me to poll Roscoe if you'd like something different. 2) Let me know roughly what sort of bass you want. The more details the better (model, # strings, electronics, etc.), but I'm happy to start at square 1 with you and go from there. 3) I'll draw up a complete spec sheet, and I'll happily fill in the blanks if you don't have a firm idea on every spec. 4) You and I can work the specs back and forth to your satisfaction for as long as it takes. 5) Once we have the top picked and the specs firmed up, I can give you a final quote. 6) "Your Price" will be 75% of the "Retail Price" of the bass (not just the top). All I require upfront is 20% of "Your Price" as a deposit. 7) The balance (80% of "Your Price") is not due until the bass arrives 3-4 months later. Shipping is free, and there are no other charges beyond "Your Price". And not to pee on anyone's parade, but this needs to be said. Deposits are non-refundable because this is serious money. If you back out, I still have to pay Roscoe for the bass... and that doesn't make me happy I do my best not to be a prick when folks back out of deals, I understand that life's ups and downs are sometimes unavoidable. We'll come to some accomodation, but refunding your deposit in cash is not the outcome you should expect. I can offer you store credit, and you are welcome to "sell" that store credit to anyone you can if you need your cash. And on that cheery note, let's place an order!! Jeez, I'm an AWFUL salesman
