New rule in effect as of 9/5/01

    Ok...I've been letting people get away with this for some time now, and this is really starting to get on my nerves.

    I counted on this page on threads about distortion....

    I want you to guess how many threads about distortion/overdrive/fuzz whatever....really...guess...


    Not one.....not two....not three....but eight


    This is my eyes is wayyyyyy too many.

    Seriously folks, can we lighten up on the distortion threads?

    New rule: Unless your question hasnt been answered, only 1 thread about distortion/overdrive/fuzz whatever per page

    I will delete any thread i see that is breaking this rule.

    im j/k ..... but i dont use any pedals ..... but i have one .... and now im rambling ...... :rolleyes:

    yeah so what about that boss bass overdrive thing. is that any good... how about that phat hed. Does the Fieldy button work well to make me sound like Fieldy? Anyone got any tAbZ...:rolleyes:

    This thread will only stay current for a month tops. Then someone will ask a question and get jumped on for breaking a rule they didnt know existed.

    OK thats the negative aspect. So on a positive note why not rip off JT's FAQ idea?

    You could get Paul to float it on the top of the Forum and update it. Any updates and indeed initial content could be done by a few people. It doesnt have to be long but cover the basic 'gain' pedals, envelope pedals and the difference between chorus, verse and middle 8 pedals.

    I might have missed something but this is a long term solution.

    If you disagree just ignore me.I will go away and I dont frequent the Effects Forum much.

    I'd get rid of them all - everybody knows that real bass players don't use effects! That would save your workload and stop you getting stressed! :D
