Yep, check goes out in the mail tomorrow for this bad boy (at a very, very good price.) So, y'know, Shameless plug

Spector Rebop 5, yo! Natural isn't my first choice, but I couldn't turn it down.

Hey B, great bass - if you dont like the natural then you could spend the 'loot' from your good score on a refin job - may i suggest the lovely sean foam green :D!

    Congrats!

I had a Rebop a while back and I loved it... I still can't figure out why I sold it.

Ha, my next bass will probably be a Spector (when I have money saved) and natural finish is the only thing I'll accept!

Nice bass. Wish I could have it. :bawl:

If the thinner bolt-on neck makes the nut width non-negotiable, it might be.

Which is about the only concern of mine. I've played them before and dug them, but that's for 15 minutes at the music store. If after a half hour or something, it turns out to not work for me, I might have to turn this around. I highly doubt it, but the thinner neck/nut issue is percolating.

It always does. No non-custom manufacturers make a 2" nut, which is where my comfort zone starts. 2.15" is preferred. Talk about hell on earth finding an affordable 5.
It can be offset by having a seriously beefy neck (Spector, Roscoe, FBB), but only Spector makes a remotely beefy enough neck to matter.

Spector necks are too thin for me, actually. I'd like if they were even beefier. Yes, I have a problem.

    So, keeping my fingers crossed.

    Squee, biatch!

A high pitched noise akin to a school-girl spying a very adorable dog.

Don't some rebops have the crown inlays? (or am I on crack)

The new ones do. Just as well, I hate the crown inlay on the first fret (inlays on the first fret always have bugged me), and not to hip on the crown inlays on the other ones, eiher.

I always knew you were a school-girl....a spectacularly hairy one, but nonetheless, a school-girl....

...are you actually planning on learning to play now?

    :bag:

Yes, but the fact that it is all you wear makes everyone else uncomfortable.
