Hi guys, if I should change the strings on my bass which ones should I buy then?
I'm a beginner so I don't need some very expensive ones.
I mostly play Funk and Jazz, and Slap and so on. Unfortunately I'm not as good as Marcus Miller, but if there are any strings which could sound like his style it would be cool.

    Thanks. :D:D

I really like DR Hi Beams; I had them put on my 70s Jazz RI when I had it set up and it was awesome. They sounded really nice when I slapped them. I am not a big fan of slapping (I can't do it well and I don't really prioritize it as a skill) so I don't judge strings on that basis.

If you want to save some money then the D'Addario strings are great. My Squier CV 60s Jazz that I bought in the TB classifieds came strung with EXLs and I really like them. If I didn't put my Chromes on that bass I would definitely get another set of the D'Addario EXLs.
