I noticed on ebay that Kurt has added chrome pickup and bridge covers to the SX jazz copies, and has a couple of new colors. While I don't care for the green, the yellowish color has a nice vintage appeal to it. No, I didn't read the mega thread concerning this....

We have an SX megathread, silly. Also, these new models have been uberly discussed. The search button rules for that kind of stuff.

Whoops, I missed the second half of it. Now, why post if you didn't read the megathread. What would Whafrodamus do? ;)

I like the yellow. It reminds me of bananna pudding.

Wow, I LOVE that yellow green! It needs a matching headstock. They also have the old-school thumbrest below the G string.

I am not really a big fan of the large vintage strat style headstock on this bass.

  11. They have the thumb-rest on the wrong side

I know, but that position is fairly common. I am sure that some here could post pics of their basses with the thumb rest mounted in the same place.

No, that is where the thumb rest was originally placed. It was intended to let the fingers rest and let the player play with his thumb.

It was moved to the E string side in the early 70's.
