The last thread was closed after complaints that the moderator deleted a sizable percentage of the 3 pages still posted. His rationale was "Forum lawyers not welcome." Nevermind that no one was actually given any legal advise. Nevermind that it was a conversation among individuals who had no idea where they stood and wanted to get a grip an where they stood and what they might want to take to an an actual lawyer. Nevermind the warnings that legal action might not be a very pragmatic solution for anyone. But let's put that embarrassment to TalkBass behind us and carry on with what is fair. I think these threads serve two important purposes:

    (1) letting current SGD customers have visibility of their outstanding orders and
    (2) giving prospective SGD customers see what the current state of the business is.

First and foremost I hope everyone gets their pickups and secondly I hope David gets things turned around.

That said, fighting with the mods at TB doesn't help anyone.

After all John Turner started the first version of this thread to help TBers.

I was pretty clear in the recently murdered thread that I thought ALL experiences with SGD should be welcomed, good and bad. I still favor that. And while I have been very critical of David, I have also defended him when I thought the attacks were over the line. I think I have been fair.
Now? Given the treatment of the TB VIllage Elders, I could really care less. I want to see the people who had faith and sent money to this guy get their product. That is all.
Apparently, that makes me a "Forum Lawyer"

I've received three SGD orders within the last year or so. Very fast delivery for me, and great product! Keep in mind custom orders do take longer.

Weren't you on the verge of filing a PayPal complaint in relation to your last order because of the delays between the promised delivery date and the actual delivery date?

FWIW there is a simple solution to the "let's draw attention" but avoid flaming issues. The mods can open a locked thread stickied in this forum with the list and an explanation that they are TBers orders that are beyond late. When someone receives pickups or places a new order and wants to add it to the list they PM the mods who can do it, but otherwise the thread is closed. The result is an accurate list that allows people to know about the SGD issues without the user dramas we have seen recently.

Nope. Had nothing to do with a 'delay' on David's part.
