I'd like to make an Electric Double Bass. I'm new to DB and I'm certainly not prepared to sink tons of money into an instrument. But I feel pretty confident that I can make an electric or Washtub bass. I'm fairly handy.

Here's the question. What are the critical dimensions? What is the fingerboard radius, spacing at the nut, bridge, etc. To what depth is the nut cut. What is a good scale length? 42"? Do you compensate the bridge somehow?

Is there a resource out there to locate this info?
