So for years I've been strictly against effects and I didn't really need em. However recently i found myself both in a country southern rock blues covers band and a top 40 party pop band which required some effects and figured there's probably some effects in the country stuff I do.

So I went a bit nuts on the pedal acquisition front and got a sansamp do,. Mxr octave(I know on the ZZ stuff we do there's something like that on the record), Corona chorus, darkglass microtubes an mxr comp and a boss tuner(I never had one till recently).

I guess my question would be would my board kinda work in the country stuff or would I have to drop something?

I'm having a hard time thinking of any country songs you'd need effects for, but I'm not exactly an expert in that kind of music. Compression is useful in all styles; the rest I'm not so sure about.

What I will say, though, is that I personally find it more convenient to just load a single board with everything I need for all my projects. If I don't need certain pedals for certain bands, I just don't step on them. But re-doing my board depending on band would be inconvenient for me. YMMV.

Just because a pedal is on your board doesn't mean you have to turn it on. But it's there if you want to use it.

Strictly against? Was it for a religious or philosophical reason?

No I just didn't like em or require em back when I was doing the punk rock stuff, it was only since doing this party pop thing that I thought let's get some
