New (to me) bass, what strings do I have?

Just got a circa 1940s Meisel bass.

    I’ll probably play 99.9% pizz

The strings on it are probably pretty old. They have a light blue/teal winding on the top and bottom.

I would probably like to change to something a little boomier at some point in the future, but curious about what I have now.

    Thanks

  2. Sounds like Thomastik Superflexibles. Post some pictures if you can though so it can be confirmed.

Sounds like superflexible mediums. Try Spiro mediums and start shedding

  4. If it’s a good fit for the bass, the superflexibles can be boomy and project well. I recently borrowed a bass while in NYC that had a nice and well worn set of medium gauge superflexibles. I didn’t notice while playing it, but damn did that bass put out a lot of sound. May as well have been the bass, but the superflexibles were a great fit for that bass.
