I've loved that Lacewood top since I first saw it on Matt's site. IIRC, you got QUITE the steal on that bass. If we have another Gulf Coast GTG, we'll have to get our FBB together.
  3. Shhh... ! I might want to flip it one day...

A getogether would be cool. I took it over to ThePerfectBass (about a mile from my house) about an hour after I got it. They liked it. That means a lot comming from guys sitting in the middle of the most awesome collection of bass porn I've ever seen! Very cool store, very cool guys.

Whoa! I didn't know Perfect Bass was out of Baton Rouge! Some of my friends were over there just about two weeks ago. If I'd known, I'd have tagged along!
I don't know if you've seen Mark's (xush) page, since he hasn't been to active here in a while, but he very proudly displays his FBBs here

I got mine (#020-00) from a TB'er as well, absolutely love it and can't get over the amazing playability of the bass :bassist: It's now my main #1 bass .....

    Congratulations
  7. Yeah I've often gassed over the FBB basses on the Xush site.

I took her to my gig with Smokehouse Porter and the Gutbucket Blues Band last night. Figured I would play it some and brought my Hoyt too. The Hoyt stayed in the gig bag. He's jealous. During the first slow blues number, she told me her name was Lacey and that she was a blues bass! I kept the tone controls in the center and rolled the pickup selector slightly to the bridge. Great deep tone and lots of clarity. She is a great one. Especially through my Schroeder 1210. I like her!
