I always thought my instrument was kind of an ugly color, but a decent looking bass. Roast it.

Your fingerboard needs a good wipe-down--it has white spots all over it! ;)

Seriously, though, I think it's a nice looking bass. I like the way the finish shows off the grain, and I dig the violin corners. Who did your extension?

Looks terrible... You should throw it away and tell me where the dumpster is so I can make sure its never seen again...(and dont tell anyone else... thanks).

Aaron Reiley up in MI. He basically remade the entire bass (top regraduation, etc) and so I had him do the extension as well.

I think the finish is great, and it looks like a very credible instrument based on the pictures...

I have a red bass too and it’s far uglier than yours. Plus, it is more hide glue than wood and has gamba corners. I love it!

Nice looking bass. B extension? Tell us more about it. Who is the maker?

The maker is unknown, though it's basically been rebuilt by Aaron Reiley up in Michigan. It's a super huge instrument, and in a weird twist of fate, it's about the same age as I am (though the exact age is undetermined). depth has got to be something like over a foot deep, just the ribs.. and it's a round back. Big orchestral cannon. Terrible for solo work. Some days I love it, most days I hate it. But then again I'm also in love with another instrument... If only I had the money...

    I like it!

You want fugly? See my bass.

Some doofus refinished it to a light orange color and put black paint over the purfling.

Other than the training wheel dots on the fretboard ( joke! ), that is NICE!

Aren’t the hatpeg tuners and the extension just the pits?

looks nice. I like the B extension. I like the look/color of the bass. Looks kind of like Steve Metcalfs bass.
