G&L Tribute L2500 Premium, ash body and maple board.

I'm debating whether to put some really zingy roundwounds on it or dig out my little-used set of Lakland JO flats. Either way, this is gonna be a wonderful foil for my neck-through, Bart-equipped FBB.

Congrats Pete, I just picked up my new G&L last week and I am still learning its dynamics. Enjoy ! :bassist:
  3. hope it sounds good! I tried a G&L next to a tribute and they both sounded pretty much the same. The G&L USA verson had a much smoother neck and a slightly bigger tone. But then I coudnt figger out all the knobs and switches so YMMV

Nice. It sounds great with rounds or flats imo.

  5. I have the 4 stringer. A fantastic bass, and yours is almost mines twin.

    Have fun

Damn "Evil Bay".... There are two toys up there currently that I'm fighting -hard- not to bid on....

  7. The neck is awesome, and I'm getting the hang of these electronics. However, the output jack is crap, and the knobs are mismatched. Luckily, those can be fixed.

This bass and I are gonna have a good time together. It will complement my FBB quite nicely.
  8. I have an L2000. Couldn't be any happier with it. Also have Fenders, so a musicman would complete my Leo trio.

    Congrats and have fun!

I have that same exact bass dude. :)

The frets were pretty bad on it but otherwise a really great, SUPER AGGRESSIVE bass.

You won't find many basses that are more versatile than the
L-2500 at any price and all of the tones in it are good.
