New toy!

  1. Well my search for a tube-sounding amp is now over. I went to GC today and came home with a Mesa-Boogie Bottle Rocket preamp pedal. It's a guitar pedal, but it does exactly what I want it to. While it doesn't have 3 channels like it's bigger brother the V-Twin, with the turn of the gain knob I have access to all the sounds I need. :D New gear is so fun!

  2. Does it retain & enhance the bottom end?

I paid for all my gear myself. Well, me and MasterCard.
Is it ribbed for her pleasure? :D

  4. It's great with the low end. I keep the bass knob at about 12, and it sounds as bassy as without. When I turn it up a bit, it adds a ton of low end kick. Really great sounding, too. Could it sound any better with newer/better tubes? It has the original Mesa 12AX7's in it.
